In August 2021, we will be doing our annual group ride to the world famous Sturgis Motorcycle Rally – and you’re invited! The scenery is simply breathtaking as we ride through some of America’s most spectacular landscapes, including Monument Valley, the Grand Canyon, Beartooth Pass, Canyonlands and Yellowstone! 2021 BLUES CRUISE TOUR
17-day (May-June 2021)
Starting in Chicago, first stop is the H-D Museum in Milwaukee, then on to the music cities of Memphis and Nashville. We’ll ride incredible routes, including the Tail of the Dragon and the bayous. Visit famous locations, raceways and museums, including the Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum in Birmingham. The tour ends in New Orleans where you can party all night long!

2021 MUSIC TOUR

If motorcycles and music are two of your biggest loves in this world then we have the tour for you! In 2021, we’re taking the HEAVY DUTY tour crew on a ride down to America’s music heartland in the southeast, down to Memphis and Nashville, down the Mississippi Delta lands where so much great music was created and celebrated, and still is!

2022 DAYTONA BIKE WEEK TOUR

After taking in the New Orleans Bourbon Street night life, the tour will head east along the coast on Hwy 98 to the world’s largest motorcycle event in Daytona Beach. Enjoy live music, concerts, bike displays, beach racing and much more. Take an airboat tour in the Everglades or visit the Kennedy Space Centre. Included in the tour will be a ride to the southern most tip of the USA through the Florida Keys. This tour ends in Orlando. Come party with us at Daytona Beach!

The Great Southern Ocean Tour starts in Melbourne then crosses Bass Strait on the ferry, loops around Tassie, back to Melbourne then along the Great Ocean Road to South Australia, then loops back to Melbourne.

Perth to Esperance vial coastal road. Returning to Perth via the inland road through Kalgoorlie and Wave Rock. Visit great wineries, National Parks and see breathtaking views of the south-western Australian coastline.

HEAVY DUTY has been hosting organised motorcycle tours in the USA since 2003. Our first was a memorable odyssey from San Francisco across country to Milwaukee for the 100th Anniversary of Harley-Davidson. It was an epic tour. We shipped nearly 400 bikes and filled two jumbo jets with Aussies keen to join in!

This came about after HEAVY DUTY Magazine hosted Reader Tours to the USA and the annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in South Dakota every year after 2003. The initial tours were very basic with HEAVY DUTY readers and enthusiasts departing LA and riding through the USA. Over the years, our tours have finessed into the meticulously planned events we offer today. Our rides offer an experience unparalleled by any other motorcycle tour companies.

Our rides to the annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally have grown from strength to strength and over the years we have taken hundreds of riders to the USA to enjoy the scenic routes, National Parks, little American towns and major events. Our tours are hosted by fellow Australian riders. We hand-pick our accommodation. We are selective on our routes on where to stop, where to ride and where to avoid. Our fuel stops are streamlined, quick and efficient. When in Sturgis we stay right in the heart of the town so you can walk to to downtown in minutes, unlike some tours who stay over 30 minutes away in Rapid City.
Our tours are the best on offer and include bike hire, accommodation, back up vehicle, National Park entries, cold drinks and snacks daily during rides, Welcome dinner, Farewell dinner, accommodation right in the heart of Sturgis for the Rally week – and to top it all off – you’ll be featured in HEAVY DUTY Magazine when the trip is over.
All tour leaders are Aussies with extensive knowledge of the USA and all tour leaders have first aid training and are experienced in managing and leading group rides.

Both have been in the publishing and motorcycle industry for over 25 years, while HEAVY DUTY Magazine continues to be highly respected and widely read by the motorcycle community.
