Issue 202 - Sep/Oct 2025
Rolling out of winter is our favourite time of the year! The days are getting longer with plenty of sunshine, dry roads and cool nights so you can sleep.
The next few months are what make those long dreary winter days tolerable.
In big parts of Europe, they take their winters seriously with snow and other cold stuff that stops the locals from riding. Because they can’t ride, they build bikes like Arcadia, the Shovel on the cover of HEAVY DUTY Issue #202.
Closer to home, we’ve got full road tests of both the Low Rider S and Sportster S, a pair of Harleys with vastly different styling and driveline packages. The FXLRS scores the High Output 117 M8 with 114hp, and the Sportster S is motivated by the Revolution Max in 1250T form with 121hp on tap.
We’ve got a Dyna doing non-Dyna things, Maggie – a 1961 Sportster with a twist, an Evo-powered FLH that caused major 1992 flashbacks, and Jekyll & Hyde – a Fat Boy with a split-personality.
Along with a great show from Matariki in NZ, we’ve got a great look at D-Day from Normandy complete with WLA Harleys.
Mick’s been On The Tools and fitted a Rekluse Radius X auto clutch to his Road King Special Packhorse. Craig went to the Harley City Collection’s book launch and Roothy’s been out in his shed making his Twin Cam Super Glide better for him.
We work on our own bikes round here.
